In short I plan on achieving this goal by:
- getting to know and understand students and their individual needs.
- implementing citizenship goals (i.e. classroom rules) with the help of students
- STAR program, a rewards program that motivates students
- group work and collaborative assignments
- classroom environment: grouping students desks to maximize discussion and working together, a designated PEACE corner in which students have tools to resolve conflict, using student's work in the classroom so that students can see themselves reflected in our classroom environment.
